Super Simple Beef & Broccoli Recipe

This super simple recipe can be whipped up in just under 30 minutes from start to finish with a little help from pre-sliced stir-fry beef in the meat section of the grocery store, frozen broccoli, chopped garlic, and teriyaki sauce and marinade from the International aisle.  We had it for dinner tonight and my husband loved it!  Enjoy!

Super Simple Beef & Broccoli
Makes 4 servings

Pre-Sliced Stir-Fry Beef – about 3/4 of a pound
1 large bag frozen broccoli
1 bell pepper, sliced – color of choice
1 small yellow onion, chopped
2 heaping Tablespoons of garlic, chopped
1 Tablespoon vegetable oil
1/4 cup Teriyaki sauce and marinade (I used Market Pantry brand from Target)
1/4 cup Rice Wine
Dash of Sesame Oil
1 Tablespoon Cornstarch
2 Tablespoons Water
Pepper to taste

1. Over medium heat n a large saute pan, heat oil and add garlic, onions, and bell pepper.  Cook for about 10 minutes until soft and cooked through.

2. Add beef, stirring frequently, until beef is almost cooked through but still pink in the middle.  Add frozen broccoli, teriyaki sauce, rice wine, and sesame oil.  Cover with a lid and let simmer for another 8-10 minutes.

3. Meanwhile, combine cornstarch and water and mix thoroughly until cornstarch is dissolved.  Add mixture to stir-fry and cook for another 5 minutes to allow sauce to thicken.

4. Serve over 1/2 cup of white or brown rice and enjoy!
